Revolut, one of the world's largest digital-only banks, was hit by an outage Tuesday morning that left thousands of customers unable to make payments or access funds through its app.
Outage tracker Downdetector logged more than 1,500 user reports of problems with the service shortly after 8 a.m. in London, according to the BBC. A status page on Revolut's website showed card payments, transfers, ATM withdrawals and customer support as "partially unavailable."
We are currently experiencing a service disruption affecting multiple services. We can confirm that all our customers' money and data are safe. We've been working to fix the issue since it was identified this morning and apologise to anyone affected and for any inconvenience caused.

Frustrated customers took to social media to report being unable to reach funds, complete payments or get through to customer support during the disruption. Revolut, a British-founded "neobank" that competes with traditional lenders through a mobile-first approach, says it serves more than 80 million customers worldwide, making even a short outage disruptive for a large number of people who rely on it as their primary bank. The company had not said by Tuesday what caused the disruption or when full service would be restored.
