The Neola Park Special Service District will hold elections for four posts as well this fall. The board seats available are: vice president, treasurer, park scheduling director, and budget officer. They all have four-year terms. Individuals interested in running for office must be a U.S. citizen at the time of filing, and be a registered voter in the town, city, or district where they are filing. Candidates for mayor or city council seats must also be a resident of the city or town they wish to represent for a period of 365 consecutive days immediately preceding the date of the election. Candidacy forms will be available at city, town, and district offices around the Uintah Basin during regular business hours beginning Wednesday. They must be completed and returned in person to the designated recorder or clerk by 5 p.m. on July 15. A primary election will be held Sept. 15, if needed. The general election will take place Nov. 3.
