Duchesne wins 7th drill team title
Duchesne High School won its seventh straight 1-A state drill team title at Utah Valley State University on Saturday. The Talons won all three categories (dance, military and kick). Brittani Reinhardt of Duchesne won the drill down event. Kellee Grant, Duchesne, was named coach-of-the-year. Piute was second and Tabiona third. Altamont finished fourth and St. Joseph Catholic School was fifth. Duchesne County schools win three of top four places. The Talons recently won the region meet at Duchesne and placed first at all three invitationals that they competed in this season. They placed third overall at the Southern Elite Utah competition that involved 1-A through 5-A schools. Duchesne Talons did various routines during halftime of Duchesne's girls and boys basketball games and prior to Eagle wrestling bouts. Coaches of the team are Kellee Grant and Nikki Kielbasa. South Sevier won the 2-A crown and Millard was second. Cedar took home the 3-A title and Canyon View was second. Bear River was third. Region 10's best finish was a fourth place by Wasatch
