The Duchesne Lady Eagles toppled Panguitch, 33-25 on Friday, but lost to Piute, 49-32 on Saturday in the first week of hoop action. Both games were played in Richfield.

Duchesne led 14-11 after one quarter and had a 19-15 edge at the half vs. the Bobcats. DHS outscored Panguitch, 10-4 in the third quarter for a 29-19 lead and added four more counters in the fourth quarter to win by eight.

Tasha Reilley led DHS with 15 points and hit three 3-pointers. Erica Lisonbee added 6 counters. Also scoring were: Jessica Madsen, Tori Guzel, 4 points each and Kylie Kielbasa, Baylee Thompson, 2.

Piute led Duchesne, 35-8 at the half. However, DHS outscored Piute, 20-4 in the fourth quarter. Madsen was tops for DHS at 14, and Lisonbee added 6. Guzel had 5 counters.
