Halloween Parade
Lured by sunny skies, fair temperatures and the prospect of free candy, about 2,000 adults and children made their way down both sides of Main Street in downtown Roosevelt for the annual Halloween Parade on Friday afternoon. Local businesses gave away treats regardless of whether children threatened to trick them. The event started at 3 p.m. and didn't wrap up until about 5 p.m. There were no major incidents along the route — just long lines that allowed everyone to brush up on their people-watching skills. A great deal of fun morphed into exhaustion by the end of the event, all evidenced by some of the photographs the Uintah Basin Standard selected for this page.
